We are one of the biggest suppliers of Crude Naphthalene. Crude Naphthalene is widely used for making processed naphthalene that is further used for purification and storage of clothes. Owing to the pungent and distinct smell, Crude Naphthalene is very toxic in nature. Crude Naphthalene is also used for making standard solutions of volatile organic compounds for different applications related to water & soil analysis.

Naphthalene is mainly used as a precursor to other chemicals. The single largest use of naphthalene is the industrial production of phthalic anhydride, although more phthalic anhydride is made from o-xylene. Other naphthalene-derived chemicals include alkyl naphthalene sulfonatesurfactants, and the insecticide 1-naphthyl-N-methylcarbamate. Naphthalenes substituted with combinations of strongly electron-donating functional groups, such as amines, and strongly electron-withdrawing groups, especially sulfonic acids, are intermediates in the preparation of many synthetic dyes. The hydrogenated naphthalenes tetra hydronaphthalene (tetralin) anddecahydronaphthalene (decalin) are used as low-volatility solvents. Naphthalene is also used in the synthesis of 2-naphthol, a precursor for various dyestuffs, pigments, rubber processing chemicals and other miscellaneous chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

We are a paramount organization that is engaged in manufacturing and supplying high quality Refined Naphthalene. It is used in pyrotechnic special effects such as the generation of black smoke and simulated explosions. It is highly sublime and does not dissolve in water but can dissolve in benzene, alcohol, ethers, chloroform and carbon disulfide.

Features:

  • Multi-sectorial uses
  • Effective
  • Longer shelf life

Uses:

  • Surfactant – May be used in the agricultural, textile or fabric industries
  • Fumigant that may be used in pesticides (such as mothballs)
  • Special Effects and Pyrotechnics – Naphthalene produces a large explosion of black smoke that may be used for movies or military training
  • Naphthalene is a chemical compound with formula C10 H8. The two kinds of naphthalene concentrates that may be obtained from coal tar are known as crude and refined naphthalene

Other Details:
  • Phthalic anhydride
  • Concrete superplasticizers
  • Tanning agents and dyestuffs
  • B-naftol
  • Tetralin and Decalin
  • Mothballs and other compacted products for household use
  • It is also a raw material to obtain a large number of intermediate organic compounds used in fine chemical and pharmaceutical processes
  • Naphthalene that is produced during coal tar distillation is called crude naphthalene. When it is further processed, in different stages, we get Refined Naphthalene of minimum 98 % purity. It is a white or light yellow, flaky or powdery crystal. It is easily volatile and has a special aromatic smell. It is highly sublime and does not dissolve in water but can dissolve in benzene, alcohol, ethers, chloroform, carbon disulfide etc
  • Naphthalene is used in manufacturing of SNF, beta napthol, phthalicanhydride, tanning agents, moth balls, and domestic disinfectants. It is used in dyes, chemicals and pharmaceutical industries
  • It is used in pyrotechnic special effects such as the generation of black smoke and simulated explosions. In the past, naphthalene was administered orally to kill parasitic worms in livestock. Naphthalene and its alkyl homologs are the major constituents of creosote
  • Naphthalene is used in engineering to study heat transfer using mass sublimation
